Trendy AF: 4-Ingredient No-Machine Cereal Milk Ice Cream

Ah, food trends. How I love food trends. They are constantly changing, always interesting, very innovative, out-of-the-box, and completely delicious. Now personally I love cereal milk and have worked with it before in the kitchen. (Go check out my Cereal Milk Baked Donuts!) But seeing how its summer, what could be better than putting cereal milk in ice cream? Especially one that takes little effort or time to make because it’s no churn and only contains 4 ingredients? You really can’t go wrong. If that isn’t enough to make you try it out, I don’t know what will. 🙂

The great thing about combining cereal milk and ice cream is that the cereal really shines through as there are no other flavors to hide it. Ice cream is basically just milk, so adding cereal is only natural. You can use any cereal you want! I used Froot Loops because of their vibrant colors and vibrant fruity, citrusy flavors that is so uniquely distinct. But again, any cereal will work, so use your favorite! What’s really fun is having others guess what flavor the ice cream you made is because “cereal milk” is so out there that their brain would rule that flavor out even though it tastes exactly like a bowl of cereal that’s been frozen (yeah, you probably have no idea what I’m saying, that’s okay)! Yum!

4-Ingredient No-Machine Cereal Milk Ice Cream

Makes 2 quarts

  • 1 c. cereal
  • 1 pint (2 c.) heavy whipping cream
  • 1 (14-oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • Small handful of cereal
  1. Pour cream into bowl & stir in cereal. Let sit & soak for 20-30 min. This will infuse cream w/ flavors of cereal.
  2. Pass cream through sieve. Push out any excess cream from cereal by smushing it w/ spoon against sieve.
  3. Whip cream on med.-high in stand mixer fitted w/ whisk attachments (or use hand mixer) until medium peaks form.
  4. Pour condensed milk into whipped cream.
  5. Whisk until mixture returns to medium peaks.
  6. Crush the sm. handful of cereal in Ziploc bag w/ rolling pin. Fold this smashed cereal into ice cream base.
  7. Place in 2 1-quart containers & freeze overnight before eating.
