Move Over, Nutella: No-Machine Cookie Butter Ice Cream

For a while, Nutella was the star. But Nutella’s time in the spotlight has been diminishing (although I’ll always love you the same, Nutella). We’ve all kown it was coming. Yes. I’m talking about Cookie Butter basically taking Nutella’s ever growing kingdom of fans and converting them to be on Cookie Butter’s side. Cookie Butter, you are evil. But anyway enough with some crazy story of mine, time to make ice cream for you! What could be a better combo than cookie butter and ice cream? I mean, you’ve got an ice cream that is packed with the speculoos cookie flavor, that warm, cinnamony, spicy cookie that everyone loves. And, this recipe only contains 5 ingredients and takes basically no time to whip up (it’s no-machine!).

Oprah’s Favorite Cake: Momofuku Milk Bar’s Banana Layer Cake

I hope you all had an food-filled, family-filled, and love-filled Thanksgiving this past week! Every Thanksgiving my family and I go to our friend’s house and have the most wonderful Thanksgiving dinner, full of turkey, chicken, prime rib, gravy, cranberries, potatoes, veggies, stuffing, and of course dessert. It has always been my job to supply one of the many desserts, and this year I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try to create the most complex dessert I’ve ever made! The success of my Banana Cream Pie lead me to create another Momofuku Milk Bar Dessert, this one much more complicated (but perhaps even more delicious!). This cake, said to be Oprah’s favorite, consists of a moist Banana Cake, creamy Chocolate Hazelnut Ganache, Hazelnut Crunch, fresh Banana Cream, and fluffy Hazelnut Frosting. This cake may be intimidating, but the results are so worth it! Let’s get baking!

Oh No, Another One? Something Healthy: Green Banana-Nutella Shake

So I guess this is a thing now. Blended beverages on Mugs and Makeovers. Who would have thought? Well, here we go. Another shake recipe. I have to say, this Green Banana-Nutella Shake is my go-to drink recipe. It tastes like the classic flavor combination of bananas and Nutella, but has the nutritional boost of spinach. Ew, gross. No it’s not gross. You can’t even taste the spinach (it’s like magic!). I am not one of those people who like green juices or juices made solely with vegetables because I mean, ew. It’s like bitter and blechy. So trust me on this one: this shake is sweet and tastes nothing like spinach. You have to try it!

Bye, Summer: 3-Ingredient No-Churn Nutella Ice Cream

I love ice cream. In fact, I scream for ice cream. Seriously. Sometimes I get so excited for ice cream I start screaming my head off. And I know you do too. I mean, doesn’t everyone? But to make homemade ice cream, it seems you need one of those huge, expensive ice cream churners. And I could imagine that you wouldn’t want to buy one of those. So, here is a secret to lift my spirits and yours up. You don’t need an ice cream churner to make ice cream. Now is the time should be screaming for ice cream because making ice cream is no longer a tedious process consisting of tempering eggs, creating the perfect custard, churning the mixture, and then freezing it for what feels like decades. This is a much faster, much easier process that yields flavorful and creamy results! And as an added bonus, you don’t need to let your ice cream sit out before consumption! Straight from the freezer, no-churn ice cream is perfectly soft and creamy. So let’s get started on making 3-Ingredient No-Churn Nutella Ice Cream!

Bye, Summer: Homemade Waffle Cones

Ah, the end of Summer. A bittersweet moment where we say bye-bye to Summer and hello to Fall. If Summer was a person, she would be lively, fun, and always the center of attention. Fall would be that comforting, caring friend always at your side. That being said, I love Summer, but truthfully, Fall is my favorite season. I mean, hello? Pumpkin pie spice everything? Pumpkin everything? That sounds pretty good to me. But still, Summer deserves a special goodbye present for all the joy it has brought. So as a parting gift to Summer, I am doing a three-part segment that includes how to make homemade waffle cones, no-churn Nutella ice cream, and no-churn cookie dough ice cream! And you’re in luck because today you’ll be learning how to make subtly sweet, buttery, and crunchy waffle cones, the perfect vehicle for your homemade ice creams.
